The boutique offers a range of authentic traditional crafts and Indigenous products adapted to today’s fashion. It showcases Micmac crafts as well as other Indigenous cultural products from Quebec. Whether it’s a traditional basket made of cedar or ash, an original piece of porcupine quill or moose antler jewelry, a product derived from medicinal plants or moccasins, you can find it all here.

Handcrafted creations are not just products: they embody the spirit of the land, the memory of our ancestors, and tell a story.

You are hesitant to wear cultural objects from an Indigenous community: In a world where cultures meet and influence one another, it is essential to distinguish between appreciating a culture and appropriating its elements without respect or permission.

Cultural appreciation is recognizing, respecting, and valuing the skills, traditions, and expressions of a culture other than one’s own. This translates into sincere and thoughtful actions, such as participating in supervised cultural activities, supporting local artisans, or learning about the history and values of a people, always considering their context and rights.

Cultural appropriation, on the other hand, involves taking cultural elements—clothing, symbols, rituals, or objects—without understanding their meaning or obtaining permission from the communities concerned. This can reduce historical practices to mere trends or decorative objects, erasing their spiritual, identity, or social value.

Promoting Indigenous know-how means honoring living traditions and recognizing their essential contribution to cultural diversity and the preservation of our environment.

By supporting Indigenous artisans and communities, we choose to encourage authenticity, sharing, and listening, to build a more just world together, rich in its differences and united in respect.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”51796,51798,51800,51802″ img_size=”450×450″ column_number=”4″ images_space=”gallery_with_space”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
